CarolinaEast Physicians, the physician group for CarolinaEast Health System, is seeking a Cardiologist to join our thriving group in coastal NC. This dynamic, hospital owned multispecialty group consist of 100+ physicians and extenders with offices in four coastal NC counties. Our Cardiology Team currently has 13 Cardiologists and 3 Cardiac Thoracic & Vascular Surgeons in the group. Our well established, well respected group includes 5 Interventional Cardiologists, 2 Electrophysiologists, as well as invasive and general Cardiologists.Job Summary: The Cardiologist will be responsible for diagnosing and treating diseases of the heart and its functions by: examining patient for symptoms indicative of heart disorders using medical instruments and equipment, as well as studying diagnostic images and electrocardiograph recordings to aid in making diagnoses, prescribing medications, and recommending dietary and activity programs as indicated.Salary and Benefits Package:Our salary and benefits package is exceptional and will be more than competitive with a minimum 2 year salary guarantee and bonus potential.We have the full complement of benefits, health and dental for the family, long term and short disability, life insurance, 403(b) tax shelter annuity, 457(b) deferred compensation, and money purchase pension plan for retirement (one of the very few hospitals with this great benefit).Malpractice insurance (retroactive & tail)30 days of vacation10 days CME, $7,000 for CME expenses and dues/subscriptionsOur compensation model is productivity driven and based on WRVUs with obtainable bonus incentives.Minimum Requirements: Possession and maintenance of a Physician's License from the State of North Carolina and certifications from the DEA.
