Position Summary

We are expanding our phlebotomy team in Pahrump and looking for a dependable, experienced phlebotomist to join our growing operations. This is a stationary role based at one of our partner clinics, focused on specimen collection, data entry, and patient care in a clinical setting.

We’re especially interested in candidates who are also open to occasionally covering mobile phlebotomy within Pahrump when our mobile phlebotomist is on PTO. That flexibility is a big plus as we continue to grow our team.

Hourly Pay: $19–21
Schedule: Part-time — Monday, Thursday, and Friday, 0900 to 1700

Responsibilities

Core Responsibilities (Stationary Role)
  • Perform blood draws and specimen collection per protocol
  • Accurately input and verify patient/specimen data in the LIS
  • Ensure proper labeling, handling, and timely transport of specimens
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area following infection control standards
  • Provide respectful and compassionate care to patients
  • Use a tablet for documentation (smartphones not permitted)
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
  • Communicate effectively with lab staff and clinic partners
  • Report any specimen or patient concerns as needed
  • Follow all regulatory and lab safety procedures
Mobile Coverage (As Needed)

If covering mobile shifts, you may:

  • Travel between collection sites within Pahrump using your personal vehicle
  • Adjust to route or schedule changes with minimal notice
  • Maintain mobile supplies and ensure safe specimen transport
  • Communicate with dispatch and site contacts throughout the day
  • Follow the chain-of-custody and patient confidentiality procedures
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of phlebotomy experience (excluding training or donation centers)
  • Phlebotomy certification (Nevada Laboratory Assistant License)
  • Proficient in venipuncture, capillary, pediatric, and geriatric draws
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation
  • Professional and compassionate patient communication
  • Familiarity with HIPAA, infection control, and lab safety protocols
  • Experience with tablets or mobile tech for documentation

Preferred Experience:

  • Mobile phlebotomy or home health experience
  • Reliable personal vehicle, valid driver’s license, and active auto insurance
  • Comfortable driving locally in various conditions
