This is truly the luxury automotive experience of the future! Genesis Motors America has created two experience centers, both in the heart of NYC. Genesis House is located in the Meatpacking District and is where guests are enticed to explore and be inspired by modern, young luxury. Guests will have the opportunity to be introduced to the full portfolio of Genesis vehicles or explore the many facets of the space including a unique and authentic Korean restaurant, events space, terrace and library/tea pavilion.

Genesis Studio, located inside of the Hudson Yards mall and only a mile and half from Genesis House, is where guests are able to fully experience the Genesis portfolio by getting a deep dive into the beautiful products with the option to drive the vehicles through the streets of the city. If guests are interested in Purchasing a vehicle from either location, they will be connected to a personal Concierge who will take them through the luxury buying experience.

Hourly rate range, based on experience: $27.00 - $30.00

Role Summary

The Curator role will ensure the delivery of exceptional guest experience and the driver for achieving key metrics at both experience centers. This is a “hands on” role actively engaged in performing tasks and guest service needs as well as modeling expected behavior for the team. This role will be responsible for providing a humanistic, personalized, and relationship focused experience to all guests. The Curator team is the face and voice of the brand. A Genesis Curator is trustworthy, deeply empathetic, generous and kind.

Core Role Responsibilities

  • Be a Genesis Ambassador daily by providing an exceptional guest service experience by demonstrating emotional intelligence while having excellent knowledge of the brand, products and services
  • Acquiring sales Leads and promoting demonstration drives
  • Become an expert on the Genesis brand, Genesis House and Studio, Genesis products, and Genesis Owners (frequent guests and VIPs)
  • Provide guests an elevated experience of the Genesis Brand, by guiding a unique and memorable guest journey through Genesis House/Studio, tailoring every experience to each guest
  • Assist with the execution of onsite events
  • Prepare for guest arrival including physical store opening setup and becoming Genesis Ready (dressed, engaged, prepared for the day ahead) in order to consistently create exceptional experiences for guests and colleagues
  • Ensure a seamless communication stream and experience from Brand Center to concierge and throughout the entire discovery process
  • Develop relationships, including gathering and retaining guest information
  • Assist guests with demonstration drive (test drives) of Genesis vehicles
  • Craft custom experiences based on guest input and situational cues
  • Maintain and provide appropriate follow-up on all guest and owner requests
  • Work as a team player and partner with fellow colleagues, foster open and constructive communication to ensure a consistent exceptional experience and contribute to a positive working environment
  • Desire to be coached by managers as well as colleagues to drive personal growth and achievement
  • Maintain security standards to ensure safety of guests, owners, colleagues and vehicles
  • Contribute to upholding the visual display of all products
  • Floor duties: opening/closing, organizing coverage for the floor when associates are at lunch/taking a break
  • Support management in achieving goals by focusing on quality of guest interactions
  • Share and provide relevant feedback from guests to management in order to drive performance and find new innovative ways to run the floor
  • Maintain the elegance of the experience centers by performing spot cleaning as necessary
  • Adhere to Genesis’ grooming standards
    • Uniforms are provided and must be worn during each shift, including special event uniforms and shoes

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience preferably in automotive/auto shows, hospitality, events or guest experience
  • Bachelor's degree, preferred or equivalent years of experience
  • Strong emotional intelligence and relationship building skills
  • Passionate about people
  • Proven ability to build lasting relationships with guests and coworkers and provide feedback and coaching to drive team performance
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to work in a fast moving and dynamic environment
  • High flexibility and ability to adapt to different situations
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business and guest needs which may include evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Frequently required to walk, climb stairs, reach with hands and arms, carry & lift items, stoop, kneel, crouch and stand for almost 100% of shift
  • Must be able to drive a vehicle, have and maintain a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record
